Without
a doubt, the most rewarding part of our
marblie world is meeting wonderful people.
Whether at craft shows or online, we are
delighted to know people of all ages love
marblies. We would like to share some of
their stories and comments with you here
in the bulletin board. If you would like
to send a picture or story about marblies
to us, we would be happy to post it on our
site. |

This
story is old as marblies. It was written by Sheri, age 11
in 1992. Sheri is a friend of the family and saw the birth
of marblies.
"Hi
and welcome to the wonderful land of marblies. At this
moment you're probably wondering how we came to be. It all
started one day when a little boy named Christopher was
playing with marbles on his front porch. All of a
sudden the sky darkened and it started raining.
Afraid to ruin his new shoes Christopher ran inside, and
forgot about his marbles. That night in his bed,
Christopher remembered about his marbles. He got up,
walked down the hall, and opened the door. Right
then he saw his marbles, they had arms and legs. However,
they caught him watching and froze like a statue.
So, if you ever wonder what happens to all your marbles
when you were younger remember they grow up too!"
If
you were wondering about Sheri, she has grown up, married
and is now a mother ..and as for Debby and I, we are
still playing with marbles.

"I
wanted to share a story with you about why marbles
mean so much to me if you don't mind. I don't know
why but I feel the need to tell you this.
When my brothers and sisters were little (about 25
years ago) we would go to the cemetery (a very
small country cemetery) with my grandfather to
visit my granny's grave. We always took flowers
and worked and played there. There was a grave of
a little boy who was 4, who had gotten killed. On
his grave it was covered in marbles of all shapes
and sizes. My little brother Billy would swipe as
many marbles as his pockets could carry and take
them home and we would play with them, when we
would come back they would be covered again and he
would take some more (he wouldn't take them all
just a few) As we grew older, we
visited less and after we got to be teenagers my
little brother noticed on one visit that there
were no more marbles on the little boys grave. We
eventually found out his Mom had passed away and
that is when my brother Billy started taking
marbles out to the cemetery every chance he got.
He kept that grave full of marbles, (he said so
other little boys could swipe them and have fun
with them) Billy was killed when he was 30 years
old and that was the saddest day of my life. He
was a fun loving good natured kid who really cared
about people. Now every chance I get I take
marbles to the little boys grave, and I also take
them to Billy's, they are usually covered,
sometimes you can tell some are missing and I know
my brother is smiling down on me. Until I am gone
I will continue to do so. I know my children will
after I am gone. I guess that is why your marbles
mean so much to me. I will be putting the lady
bugs out there and I think I will order the little
angels next or the turtles, you have so many cute
ones. I was so very happy with them, they are so
perfect. I hope I didn't bother you with this
story I just felt the need to let you know how
much you lifted my spirits". Thanks
again, Lin

Dear Debby and Sidney,
I just received my marblies in the mail yesterday,
and just had to tell you how much it brightened my
day. Although I have had such good luck buying
online, in terms of quick delivery, nice
interactions, professional packaging, good quality
merchandise etc , I have to say that your product,
and the way it was packaged and delivered, was the
best so far! On Friday morning, I had gone into
the hospital for some surgery that I was very
anxious about. Complications arose, and I was
admitted overnight. I had a very scary and
stressful night there, with nurses and doctors
watching me through the night. I was also given
the news that I would never be able to have
children. When I was finally allowed home
the next morning, I was emotionally and physically
drained. My husband helped me up the stairs, and
there on the front step was your little package.
It was the only piece of mail I was excited to
open! I opened it up and my mood instantly
changed. There inside your carefully packaged box,
were four of the most adorable creations I had
ever seen. As cute as they looked in the
photographs, they were cuter still in person. I
love 70's nicnacs, so I am a sucker for anything
having to do with frogs, owls, butterflys, snails
etc. I really loved the snails! What a unique
idea. Even my husband, who is not into
"cute" things could not stop saying how
cute they were, and kept taking them out of the
box to look at them and touch them. They are just
irresistably cute! The little note you added was
so nice to read to. How wonderful that a married
couple has created such a rewarding and special
business. I took those little critters out of the
box, and placed them on the coffee table in front
of the couch where I spent the next 12 hours. This
may sound crazy, but even with all of the
discomfort and sadness I was feeling, looking at
those adorable marblies that were made with such
care, really helped. I will be adopting a little
girl from China this year, and you can bet I will
be filling her room with many of your wonderful
marblies. They make great gifts and stocking
stuffers, as they are so thoughtful, unique, and
affordable. I am an elementary teacher too, so I
will be buying many of these for my colleagues and
students. We teachers just love adorable things! I
think it would be cute if you glued some of these
to driftwood or blocks of wood, especially the
woodland critters like the frogs, snails and
caterpillars. (Remember that kind of art from the
70's?) They would also look cute in
terrariums and in small potted plants. Are they
waterproof?! Well, I guess I just wanted to let
you know that you brought some sunshine into a
pretty gloomy day. Thank you most sincerely.

Hi!
My name is Kerrie Murray and I had purchased some
marblies and a couple of the pewter figurines and
gave them as Christmas presents. I just HAD to
write to tell the both of you how much all the
recipients LOVED their marblies. I had gotten my
mother both the ladybug and the rooster and her
face absolutely lit up when she opened the
package. My mother collects chickens and roosters,
so the original, handmade rooster was one of her
favorite gifts. I placed the little slip of paper
with the history of your marblies creations in the
box and my mother saved it. She does not own her
own PC, so tonight she was at my home and I
brought her to your website. She fell in love with
EVERY ONE of your creations and we just ordered
more. I had also bought my best friend one of the
pewter figures as she collects them and she really
loved it. I have never seen so many people so
taken by any gift I have ever gotten them as I had
seen once they opened your creations. I have told
all my friends and family about your company and
we all cannot wait to order more! Thank you both
so much for creating such awesome little
collectibles with such a personal touch. You have
brought a lot of happiness into my family with
your little marbles. Gratefully & admirably,
Kerrie Murray

When
I got home from work last night my marblies were
waiting for me in a perfect little package.
I was so excited! When I opened the box the
pictures did not do these cute little ladybugs
justice. I ADORE them! I found myself
looking at them on their shelf several times last
night and this morning! You both have such a
wonderful talent, keep up the great work!!
Thanks so much!! Christy May

Received my
marblies the other day. Oh they are so wonderful. I am so very impressed with
your workmanship. I have given marblies to both family and friends as gifts and find they are
the most perfect remembrance of a special occasion or a special person. At a time when good
customer service seems to be falling by the wayside, I find that your product and prompt
shipments are just as you state. I have never been disappointed.
Thank You both so very much. Christine Good
